An incredible experience, capturing the best of Kaikoura's magnificent views of coastal shorelines, unique landscapes and towering mountain ranges that rise above 8000ft.
Our tour will depart from our Kaikōura beachfront helipads, where we will head North along the rugged Kaikōura coastline, where your pilot will point out the slips and repairs carried out since the 2016 Kaikoura Earthquake that blocked off road access to Kaikoura for over a year.
Once we reach the Clarence River, we head West towards the Seaward Kaikōura mountain range, flying over multiple slips and fault lines. Your pilot will show you where the Clarence river was diverted from its original course, now flowing through what used to be a farmer’s paddock!
Fly over the George Saddle, out into the Clarence Valley where you will be surrounded by the Seaward and Inland Kaikōura ranges. Your pilot will find a secluded spot high up in the mountains to land, either on top of the skyline with breathtaking views either out over the Clarence Valley or nestled right in amongst the mountains in a small clearing only accessible by helicopter.
After re-boarding the helicopter, we will venture South down the Clarence Valley before turning East and flying back over through the mountains on track to the summit of Mt Fyffe where we will touch down again. Here you can get out of the helicopter and breathe in the fresh air and soak up 360 degrees of mind blowing panoramic views of this unique and special place - where the mountains meet the sea.
